Click! Weekly named as finalist for two Canadian Online Publishing Awards
Site up for Best Overall Online-Only Website and Best E-Newsletter honours
Click! Weekly was recently named as a finalist in the first-ever Canadian Online Publishing Awards. The awards, produced by Masthead, recognizes excellence in online editorial and innovation by Canadian magazine and website publishers.
The top 75 websites were chosen from the more than 250 entries that represented large and small publishers with magazine websites and online-only websites. Click! Weekly has been chosen by a panel of judges as a finalist in two of ten categories – Best Overall Online-Only Website and Best E-Newsletter.
"I'm very proud of the quality and content of our newsletter, and I think this nomination is recognition of the excellent work editor Amy Bostock does in uncovering and reporting on the key developments in the world of online business," says Steve Lloyd, president of Lloydmedia, Inc., publisher of Click! The company is also launching a new trade magazine in January 2010, called Payments Business. The readers are financial, technology and operations executives who are responsible for managing their company's payments and transactions functions. The magazine will publish 6 times a year. The judging panel is comprised of highly regarded industry professionals and experts. Entrants were judged in two divisions – the red division for consumer, custom, religious and public association websites and the blue division for business-to-business, professional association, farm and scholarly websites.
The website winners, one in each category, will be announced on October 26 at a special reception being held at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
