OurCanada.ca hosts online pancake cook-off
Reader's Digest contest engages audience
Burnbrae Farms is part of an innovative program prepared by Our Canada for the Great Canadian Pancake Recipe Contest. This program allows Burnbrae to benefit from the exposure generated by the contest in Our Canada magazine, online as well as in other Reader’s Digest media platforms.
As fitting as eggs are to pancakes, Burnbrae Farms saw a natural fit with the highly engaged Our Canada community; with over 280,000 subscribers and a reach of more than 1,000,000 readers, Our Canada has actively been connecting Canadians around user-generated content for the last 5 years.
The contest started on the Our Canada website in September with the support of advertising in Our Canada and More of Our Canada magazines. From hundreds of recipes submitted, the jury selected 10 finalists, the public was then asked to vote for the best pancake recipes. The winning recipes will be published online and in the February issue of the magazine, providing further opportunities of exposure for the sponsor.
